1. Acceptance

These Terms are an agreement between you and Alpine Labs, Inc.. By creating an account, accessing MedLocker, using our websites or applications, connecting a data source, uploading records, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms and the MedLocker Privacy Policy.

If you use MedLocker on behalf of another person, such as a minor child, dependent, family member, or person for whom you are a legal representative, you represent that you have authority to do so.

2. What MedLocker Does

MedLocker helps users collect, store, organize, view, understand, and share health information. Features may include record retrieval, document upload, health timelines, search, summaries, FHIR conversion, AI assisted extraction, caregiver access, user directed sharing, and optional research or data programs.

3. Not Medical Advice or Emergency Care

MedLocker is not a healthcare provider, health plan, pharmacy, laboratory, emergency service, or substitute for professional medical judgment. MedLocker does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, clinical decision making, or emergency response.

Information displayed in MedLocker, including AI assisted summaries or insights, may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or not clinically appropriate. Do not use MedLocker for emergencies. If you believe you have a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.

4. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep it current, maintain the confidentiality of login credentials, and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create security risk, use false information, interfere with MedLocker, or violate law.

5. Records Authorizations and Data Sources

You may authorize MedLocker to retrieve records from providers, health plans, laboratories, pharmacies, portals, networks, QHINs where available, apps, devices, and other sources. You are responsible for ensuring each authorization is truthful, valid, and within your legal authority. Record holders may delay, deny, limit, or charge for requests as permitted by law.

6. Your Content and Operational License

You keep ownership of information and files you upload or authorize MedLocker to receive, subject to rights held by record sources and applicable law. You grant Alpine Labs a limited, nonexclusive, worldwide license to receive, store, copy, process, extract, structure, normalize, display, transmit, and otherwise use your information as needed to provide MedLocker, operate requested features, protect the service, comply with law, and honor consent choices.

This operational license does not authorize Alpine Labs to disclose identifiable health information for optional research, life sciences, analytics, data licensing, or monetization programs unless you provide required separate consent.

7. User Directed Sharing

You may share information with caregivers, family members, representatives, providers, researchers, life sciences organizations, or others. You are responsible for selecting recipients and access levels. People who receive your information may download, copy, screenshot, use, or further disclose it outside MedLocker. Revoking access stops future access where supported but may not delete information already disclosed.

8. Optional Programs

MedLocker may offer optional research, surveys, life sciences, analytics, clinical trial matching, data licensing, compensation, or recontact programs. Participation is voluntary and is not required for core MedLocker features. Program specific terms and consents will describe data, recipients, purpose, compensation, recontact, and withdrawal.

9. Acceptable Use

Use MedLocker only for lawful and authorized purposes.

Do not request, access, upload, or share records unless you have the legal right to do so.

Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent authority.

Do not interfere with, disrupt, reverse engineer, scrape, attack, overload, or compromise MedLocker.

Do not bypass access controls, consent controls, rate limits, or security measures.

Do not use MedLocker to make clinical decisions without independent professional review.

10. Third Party Services

MedLocker may connect to third party services, portals, APIs, apps, devices, cloud services, or payment processors. Third party services are controlled by their own terms and privacy practices. Alpine Labs is not responsible for third party availability, data quality, errors, delays, security, or policies, except where required by law or contract.

11. Privacy, Security, Payments, and Intellectual Property

Privacy and security practices are described in the Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice. Some features may be free, paid, subscription based, or available through a partner. We will disclose material fees before charging you. MedLocker, Alpine Labs software, designs, trademarks, workflows, models, documentation, and other materials are owned by Alpine Labs or licensors. Feedback may be used without restriction unless separately agreed in writing.

12. Beta Features and Termination

We may offer beta, preview, experimental, or early access features that may be incomplete or changed at any time. You may stop using MedLocker and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, violated law, or harmed users, Alpine Labs, partners, or systems.

13. Disclaimers and Liability Limits

MedLocker is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alpine Labs disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non infringement, accuracy, availability, and reliability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alpine Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption. Alpine Labs total liability for claims arising from MedLocker will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Alpine Labs for MedLocker in the 12 months before the claim or one hundred dollars.

14. Indemnification, Governing Law, Updates, and Contact

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and hold harmless Alpine Labs from claims arising from misuse, unauthorized records requests, unauthorized sharing, violation of these Terms, violation of law, or infringement of rights. These Terms are governed by North Carolina law, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise. We may update these Terms with reasonable notice for material changes.
