1. Eligibility and account use

Use MedLocker only for records you are allowed to manage

  • Use MedLocker only if you are the patient or you are otherwise authorized to act for the patient record you are managing.
  • Keep your MedLocker account credentials secure and notify Alpine Labs if you believe your account or linked records were accessed without authorization.
  • Do not use MedLocker in a way that violates law, misrepresents identity, or attempts to access records you are not allowed to view.

2. Connecting Epic / MyChart

Portal connections are user-directed

Authorization

When you connect Epic / MyChart, you direct MedLocker to send you to the Epic authorization experience. You are responsible for reviewing the Epic consent screen before approving data sharing.

Connection scope

The first release supports Epic / MyChart import only for the data categories MedLocker currently surfaces in product. MedLocker may skip unsupported categories without treating them as part of the connected record.

Disconnect

You may disconnect the Epic / MyChart connection through MedLocker. Disconnecting ends future sync attempts but does not automatically erase records already imported into MedLocker’s longitudinal history.

3. Product boundaries

MedLocker is not medical care or emergency response

No emergency use

Do not use MedLocker for emergency or urgent medical needs. Call emergency services or contact a licensed clinician when immediate medical care is needed.

No medical advice

MedLocker helps organize records and present imported data. It does not replace the judgment of your physicians or other licensed clinicians.

Source system limits

MedLocker cannot guarantee that external source systems, including Epic / MyChart, will always provide complete, current, or uninterrupted data.

4. Data and privacy

Imported records become part of the MedLocker account experience

  • Imported Epic data is used to populate MedLocker’s normal patient-record, summary, and timeline views.
  • Durable Epic credentials are stored by the MedLocker backend, not by the mobile app.
  • Use of imported Epic data is also described in the Epic integration privacy disclosure.
  • Nothing on this terms page limits disclosures required by law or valid legal process.

Retention note

Disconnecting a portal connection stops future refreshes. It does not automatically remove already imported history from MedLocker.

5. Changes, suspension, and contact

Alpine Labs may update the product and these terms

Service changes

Alpine Labs may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of MedLocker, including portal integrations, where required for security, compliance, product evolution, or source-system changes.

Account restriction

Alpine Labs may restrict or suspend access when necessary to protect users, enforce these terms, respond to legal obligations, or investigate misuse.
